DOM Trader

DOM Trader is a trading module that combines a Depth of Market (DOM), order flow visualization, and trading controls directly on the chart.

It is designed for fast order entry and scalping workflows, allowing you to monitor liquidity, place and manage orders, track your position, and analyze order flow from a single interface.

Adding DOM Trader

  1. Open a chart.
  2. Open the Indicators window.
  3. Select DOM Trader (or Scalping DOM).
  4. Add it to the chart.
  5. Open the module settings to customize its appearance and behavior.

Module Overview

DOM Trader combines several functional areas:

  • DOM section — displays Bid and Ask liquidity.
  • Price column — displays price levels and allows order placement.
  • Orders area — displays active orders and allows modification or cancellation.
  • Order Flow area — displays recent trades using a Liquidity Map, bubbles, or blocks.
  • Position panel — displays position size, average entry price, and PnL.
  • Lots selector — allows quick volume selection.

Order Placement

Orders can be placed directly from the price ladder.

  • Left-click a price level to place a Buy order.
  • Right-click a price level to place a Sell order.
  • By default, orders are submitted as Limit orders.
  • Hold the Stop Orders Mode hotkey to place Stop orders instead.
The default hotkey for Stop Orders Mode is V. While the key is pressed, DOM Trader temporarily switches to Stop order placement.

Managing Active Orders

Working orders are displayed next to their corresponding price levels.

You can:

  • Click the close icon to cancel an order.
  • Drag an order or select a new price level to modify it.
  • Manage orders outside the visible price range using the compact outside-orders area.
Order modifications affect real working orders on your trading account. Always verify the selected account and instrument before making changes.

Position Panel

When a position is open, the position panel displays:

  • Average entry price.
  • Current position size.
  • PnL (ticks, currency, or percentage).
  • Quick position close button.

Click the PnL field to switch the display mode.

  • Scalp using a chart-based DOM ladder.
  • Place Limit and Stop orders quickly.
  • Monitor Bid and Ask liquidity.
  • Analyze Liquidity Map changes.
  • Track aggressive buying and selling activity.
  • Modify or cancel active orders directly from the ladder.
  • Monitor positions and PnL without leaving the chart.

Important Notes

  • DOM Trader requires market depth data from the selected data provider.
  • Trading functions require an active trading connection, selected account, and supported instrument.
  • Available order behavior depends on the broker, exchange, and account permissions.
  • DOM Trader manages real orders and positions. Use caution when trading in One-Click mode.
  • If no account or instrument is selected, orders cannot be placed.
  • If market depth is unavailable, the DOM section may not display liquidity.
  • For instruments with dense order books, adjusting filters, smoothing, and DOM width can improve readability.
