Hot Keys Configuration
Hotkeys allow you to perform platform actions more efficiently, including opening modules, controlling charts, managing Smart DOM, taking screenshots, placing and managing orders, and controlling open positions.
You can use the default keyboard shortcuts or assign your own combinations to match your workflow.
Opening the Hot Keys Settings
To configure hotkeys:
- Open the main ATAS window.
- Select Settings → Hot Keys.

The Hot Keys window contains the following sections:
- Global — platform-wide actions, module management, layouts, Market Replay, alerts, and workspace actions.
- Trading — order placement, order cancellation, position management, SL/TP commands, and volume presets.
- Charting — chart controls, indicators, drawing tools, and Chart Trader actions.
- Smart DOM — Smart DOM navigation, scaling, and clearing data.
- Screenshot — screenshot creation, copying, downloading, and sharing.

Assigning or Changing a Hotkey
To assign or modify a keyboard shortcut:
- Open the required hotkey section.
- Select the action you want to configure.
- Click the hotkey field.
- Press the desired key or key combination.
- Close the settings window to save the changes.
To remove a shortcut, clear the corresponding hotkey field.
Use Reset to restore the default shortcuts or Clear to remove all assigned shortcuts within the current section.
If the selected key combination is already assigned to another action, ATAS displays a conflict warning. You can keep the existing assignment or replace it with the new one.

Using Trading Hotkeys Safely
Before using trading shortcuts, verify:
- the selected trading account;
- the selected instrument;
- the configured order volume;
- the connection status.
If One-Click Mode is enabled, trading commands are sent immediately without confirmation. Otherwise, ATAS displays a confirmation dialog before executing the action.
Some trading actions are available only under specific conditions:
- Reverse requires an open position.
- Stop Loss and Take Profit require SL/TP functionality to be available.
- Breakeven requires an open position with valid SL/TP conditions.
- Cancel commands require existing working orders.
Stop Loss and Take Profit Hotkeys
The Set Stop Loss and Set Take Profit shortcuts temporarily activate placement mode while the key is held down.
Move the cursor to the desired price level in Chart Trader or Smart DOM, then click to place the protective order. Releasing the hotkey exits placement mode.
Smart DOM Hotkeys
The Smart DOM section contains shortcuts for module-specific actions.
Available actions include:
- Center Smart DOM
- Center All Smart DOM Windows
- Clear Current Trades
- Clear Bid/Ask Current Trades
- Clear Depth Changes
- Reset Volume Profile
- Apply Auto Scale
- Change Scale
Default Smart DOM Scale Hotkeys
- Apply Auto Scale — Ctrl+A / Cmd+A
- Change Scale — Ctrl / Cmd
- Large Scale Change — Shift+Ctrl / Shift+Cmd
- Increase Scale — +
- Decrease Scale — -
These shortcuts affect only the active Smart DOM window.
Charting Hotkeys
The Charting section contains shortcuts for chart navigation, indicators, drawing tools, chart properties, timeframe selection, Chart Trader, and interface controls.
Screenshot Hotkeys
The Screenshot section allows you to configure shortcuts for screenshot operations.
Available actions:
- Copy Image
Default Screenshot Hotkeys
- Copy Image — Ctrl+Shift+I / Cmd+Shift+I
- Copy Link — Ctrl+K / Cmd+K
Troubleshooting
If a hotkey does not work:
- Verify that the required module is active.
- Make sure the action is available for the selected instrument and trading account.
- Check whether the same shortcut is assigned to another command.
- Try assigning a different key combination.
- Restore the default settings if necessary.
Important Notes
• Hotkeys may behave differently depending on the active module. • Trading hotkeys can send live trading commands and should be configured carefully. • Some commands are available only when supported by the selected broker connection and trading account. • On macOS, use Cmd instead of Ctrl where applicable.
