Kraken connection

These instructions serve as a guide for connecting the Kraken exchange to the ATAS platform. If you do not have an account yet, you can register on the exchange via the following link: https://kraken.com/.

Step 1. Create API Key

To connect an account in ATAS, you need to create an API key. You can do it in your personal cabinet.

Step 2. Connect the Account in ATAS

Connect the account using the generated keys in ATAS. To do this, in the main window of the platform, click Connections → Add → Kraken and then click Next.

Step 3. Setting up the Connection in ATAS

Fill in the fields in the connection setup window as shown below.

  • Connection name – the displayed name of the connection in the list.
  • Portfolio name – name for the portfolio to distinguish portfolios from multiple simultaneous connections (optional).
  • Use spot exchange – enable or disable the spot exchange.
  • API Key, API Secret – keys generated on the Kraken site.
  • Orderbook depth – depth of market (visible limit orders in the order book).
  • Use futures exchange – enable or disable the futures exchange.
  • Demo account – must be activated to connect a demo account.

After setting up the connection, it will appear as a separate line in the list of connections.

  1. Add – add a new connection.
  2. Type – connection source.
  3. Name – connection name which you can set yourself.
  4. Status – connection status.
  5. Quote Provider – option to select a quote provider (this connection will be used as a quote provider).
  6. Auto-Connect – enable automatic connection when the platform starts.
  7. Connection settings button.
  8. Remove connection from the list button.
  9. Connect/Disconnect – connect or disconnect the connector.
