Workspaces are structures that include a set of work layers and the windows within them that you use regularly. You can create as many different workspaces as needed for your trading system and quickly load the one you need.
The video below shows how to set up and save workspaces in ATAS.

Workspaces
Workspaces allow you to organize workspace windows by adding them to separate layers. For more information on configuring workspaces, refer to the article on Workspace Settings.
Workspaces, settings:
In the main program window, go to the Settings menu.
Then click on the Workspaces option.
Next, the Workspace window will open:
Name | Description |
Load | To load a workspace, select it and click Load. |
Add | This function allows you to create a new workspace. |
Save | To save a workspace, enter its name in the text field of the Workspaces window. Then click the Save button, and it will appear in the list. |
Delete | To delete an unwanted workspace, select it from the list in the Workspaces window and then click Delete. |
Rename | To change the current name, select the workspace, click Rename, and then enter the new name. |
Copy | Copy the workspace. |
Edit | This function allows you to modify a workspace. Editing might be needed to optimize an overloaded workspace (you can remove a module, a graphical object, or perform recommended fixes in the module). You can change the workspace without opening it or loading charts. |
Export | This function allows you to save settings to a file on your PC or any other storage device. |
Import | Load settings saved on your PC or any other storage device. |
You can also select and load the workspace you need when launching the program.
This loading option is available if you already have saved workspaces.
If you delete a workspace, all the work layers and windows saved in it will be deleted too!
To save all workspace settings, when closing the platform, check "Save current workspace" in the ATAS window that asks "Are you sure you want to close the application?" and click Yes.
If the platform was opened without a workspace (if you selected Do not load at startup or if there were no previously saved workspaces), follow these steps to save the current workspace when closing the platform in the ATAS window that asks "Are you sure you want to close the application?":
Check Save current workspace
Enter a name for the workspace (this field cannot be empty)
Click Yes.
Workspaces, managing the current open workspace:
In the main program window, go to the Settings menu.
Then click on the Workspaces window - the bottom part with the arrow, and click Edit.
This will open the workspace editor window (Manage workspace):
In the editor, you can modify the current workspace.

Can I save my templates and workspaces if I want to reinstall the platform?
Yes, you can do that. To do this, you need to save the folders with your data, which are by default located on drive C, in the folder \Documents\ATAS\ (not in Program Files).
Chart templates are located in the folder \Documents\ATAS\Chart\Templates.
Snapshots: \Documents\ATAS\Chart\Snapshots
Workspaces: \Documents\ATAS\Workspaces
SmartDOM: \Documents\ATAS\SmartDOM\Templates
Logs: \Documents\ATAS\Logs\
