How to select primary graphics card for the ATAS platform

If the OS does not specify a graphic processor preference for a given application, then users can specify the preferred graphics processor to use: 


How To Specify Graphics Card for the Platform via System Settings.


Follow these steps to ensure the ATAS platform uses a particular graphics card:


  1. Open “Settings”;



  2.  Select “System”,  then “Display”;



  3.  Beneath the “Multiple displays” section, click on “Graphics settings”;



  4.  Choose a "Desktop App" and click the “Browse” button to find the “.exe” file to specify the app. By default, the ATAS platform is stored in the following folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\ATAS Platform\OFT.Platfrom.exe


  5. Click the “Options” button, then set the graphics preference to use for the app. Click “Save”




How To Set Graphics Card for OpenGL rendering in NVIDIA Control Panel.


  1. Find the NVIDIA Control Panel app, or right-click anywhere on your desktop and select the NVIDIA Control Panel:
     

  2. Under “3D Settings,” select “Manage 3D Settings.”



  3. Select the “Programs Settings” tab, then choose the app via the pull-down list or the Add option:



  4. Find the “OpenGL rendering GPU” on the list and specify the graphics card from the drop-down list:



  5. Click “Apply” to save changes.
