Modified on Mon, 9 Jun at 10:49 AM

This guide explains how to connect an account via NinjaTrader to the ATAS platform.

Requirements for Connecting via NinjaTrader

To connect via NinjaTrader, the following conditions must be met:
  • NinjaTrader version 8.1.1.7 or higher
  • The NinjaTrader platform must be running with an active account and market data connected
  • The ADataFeeder8 indicator must be added only to one chart; the chart window must remain open and expanded
  • System time on your PC must be synchronized with global time and match the time in NinjaTrader

Connection Steps

Step 1: Prepare for Connection

Before starting the connection procedure, please follow these steps in order:

  1. Add the Ninja Trader connector in the ATAS platform
  2. Add the ADataFeeder8 indicator to a chart in NinjaTrader
  3. Only after that, connect the Ninja Trader connector in ATAS

Step 2: Enable AT Interface in NinjaTrader

Open NinjaTrader and go to Tools → Automated trading interface. Enable the AT Interface.

Step 3: Add the ADataFeeder8 Indicator

Add the ADataFeeder8 indicator to any open chart in NinjaTrader.

This indicator is installed automatically when ATAS is installed. Go to the Indicators section in NinjaTrader and add ADataFeeder8 to the desired chart. If NinjaTrader was running during ATAS installation, restart it to make the indicator appear.

If the ADataFeeder8 indicator is missing, close NinjaTrader and reinstall ATAS. After reinstalling, the file ADataFeeder8.dll will appear in Documents/NinjaTrader 8/bin/Custom.

Step 4: Add the Connector in ATAS

In the ATAS platform, go to Connections → Add → Ninja Trader → Next.

Step 5: Connect the Connector

Click Close, then click Connect.

Once configured, the connection will appear as a separate row in the connections list.
