How to launch ATAS on VMware for Mac users

ATAS Installation Guide for Mac Users Using VMware Fusion (Free Personal License)

Create a Broadcom Account

  1. Visit Broadcom Registration and create a new account.
  2. Verify your email address by clicking on the confirmation link sent to your inbox.
  3. Complete the registration process and log in using your new credentials.

Download VMware Fusion

  1. Go to VMware Fusion Download Page.
  2. Download the VMware Fusion software. 
VMware offers two licensing models: Free Personal Use and Paid Commercial Use. For this guide, we’ll focus on the Free Personal Use model.


Install VMware Fusion

  1. Follow the installation instructions provided with the downloaded file to install VMware Fusion on your Mac.

Set Up a Windows Virtual Machine

  1. Download the Windows installation file from the official Microsoft website.

  2. Open VMware Fusion and set up a new virtual machine using the downloaded Windows file.

  3. Follow the step-by-step prompts to complete the Windows installation process.

If you have a Windows 11 license key, you can enter it during installation or add it later.
Log in with your Microsoft account or create one if you don’t already have an account.

Install ATAS

  1. Once Windows is installed and configured, visit atas.net and download the latest version of the ATAS platform.

  2. Follow the installation instructions provided on the ATAS website to complete the setup.

This guide ensures smooth installation and setup of ATAS on your Mac using VMware Fusion.

  1. Go to https://profile.broadcom.com/web/registration and create your account:

  1. Click Login:

  1. Use your new account email address and click Next:


  1. Use your password:

  1. Click on a link https://support.broadcom.com/group/ecx/productdownloads?subfamily=VMware+Fusion to download VMware Fusion:





  1. Install VMware Fusion:



The most exciting part is that Fusion Pro and Workstation Pro will now have two license models. VMware now provide a Free Personal Use or a Paid Commercial Use subscription for Pro apps.

  1. Once you installed Fusion Pro you can download and setup new virtual windows machine:




  1. Download from Microsoft:

  1. Go over all the steps of Windows installation:









  1. Once you complete with Windows download and virtual machine installation, please follow all the steps for Windows installation:




If you have a Windows 11 license key, enter it here or choose to activate it later:





  1. Configure your new Windows:





If you have a Microsoft account, please log in. If not, click 'Create one!' to set up a new account:


  1. Once your Windows setup completed go into atas.net and download latest ATAS version:
