Percentage Price Oscillator

Percentage Price Oscillator is calculated as the difference between the short and long EMAs, divided by the long EMA. In comparison with MACD, Percentage Price Oscillator shows signals of divergences between prices and the oscillator value and highlights price extremes more accurately, its movements are more dynamic.

The values are calculated by the following formula: (FastEMA-SlowEMA)/SlowEMA

Long Period - setting of the indicator long period.

Short Period - setting of the indicator short period.

Source - setting of the indicator calculation parameters:

Panel - selection of the indicator location in the chart:

Visualization

Show value - display of the indicator value on the price scale on the left.

Scale/Auto-scaling - if this option is on, the scale will be automatically calculated, based on the minimum and maximum indicator values, so that the indicator would fit in the chart.

Color - color setting of the indicator.

Line style - setting of the line display style:
