ADX (Average Directional Index) is a unique indicator, which may operate ahead of schedule and show the trend strength (whether it will continue or decline gradually) before the price starts moving. On the chart, the main line of the ADX index is shown together with the DI+ and DI- curves.
The platform allows add the DI+ and DI- indicators separately.

Operating principle:
The DI+ (dark blue) and DI- (red) lines show the trend orientation. If the dark blue line is above the red one, this means that the trend moves upwards, and vice versa – the trend moves downwards. The green line (ADX line) shows the trend intensity. If the line goes upwards, the trend acceleratesif it goes downwards, the trend decelerates.
*The ADX indicator is obtained of two other indices that were also developed by U. Wilder.
One Indicator is called Positive Directional Indicator (DI+). It indicates the price rise (see below):
The other one is Negative Directional Indicator (DI-). It indicates the price decline (see below):
To add and set up this indicator, open the Indicator Setup window.
