Dynamic Momentum Index

Modified on Wed, 17 May 2023 at 11:32 AM

Dynamic Momentum Index (DMI) is an RSI with a changing period. The RSI period fluctuates between 3 and 30 when using default settings. Period changeability makes RSI more responsive to short-term price movements. The higher the price volatility, the shorter the period. The indicator is interpreted in the same way as the RSI, but signals appear earlier.
