The WPR indicator (Williams% R or Williams Overbought / Oversold Index) was invented by Larry Williams to estimate the speed of price movements and shows the position of the closing price relative to the max / min levels for a certain period.

The indicator shows the level of the current closing price of the period relative to the real range (max / min). Values (in percent) are displayed in the range from 0% to (-100%).

Close (i) - current closing price

Max (high (i-n)) - maximum for n periods

Min (low (i-n)) - minimum for n periods.

To add and configure the indicator, you must open the settings window.

Panel - select the location of the indicator on the chart:

Show value - display the value of the indicator on price scale.

Show zero values- display zero values.

Scale - if this option is enabled, the scale will automatically be calculated based on the minimum and maximum values of the indicator, in order for the indicator to be placed on the graph.

Color - line color.

Visual type - visual adjustment of the indicator on the graph:

  • Line
  • Histogram
  • Hash
  • Block
  • Cross
  • Square
  • Dots
  • Up arrow

  • Axis label
  • Hide

Line style - customize the appearance of the line:

  • Dot
  • Solid
  • Dash
  • Dash - dot
