Drawing objects management

The ATAS platform has the function of adding various graphical objects on a chart.Graphical objects help visually annotate charts and highlight key areas of interest. This guide describes how to add, manage, and customize drawing objects in ATAS.

How to access drawing tools

To view and select available drawing objects:

  • Click on the icon in the chart bar menu.
  • Use hot keys.
By default, hotkey settings have already been set in the platform, but you can change them if necessary. More information about this is available here.

Next, a window that displays all the available elements will open.

If you click the right mouse button on any drawing object, the following menu will appear:

Here you can make the object Global, Locked, or Hidden.

Description of drawing object functions

The functions described below are applicable to all the elements of drawing objects.
  • Delete Selected – remove only the selected drawing objects in the chart.
  • Delete All – remove all the drawing objects in the chart.
  • Select All – select all the drawing objects in the chart.
  • Copy All – copy all the drawing objects in the chart.
  • Copy Selected – copy only the selected drawing objects in the chart.
  • Paste – paste only the copied objects in the chart.
  • Undo – undo the last action.

Editing the elements of drawing objects – To edit a drawing object, left-click it once to select. Then you can resize, move it or open its visual settings by right-clicking.

Most of the visual settings such as color, style, width, and the display of the object behind the chart are the same for all the elements. Therefore, the descriptions of visual settings for each element contain only the options specific to that object.

Saving visual settings

To save the current settings as default, click the Save As Default button.

To return to default settings, use the Reset button.

To remove an element, use the Remove button.

To apply the settings, click the OK button.

Objects List

This window allows you to see all the elements of the drawing objects applied to the chart. You can also manage them:

  • Select All
  • Remove Selection
  • Delete Selected
  • Delete All
